At True Calling Counseling, our mission is clear: to make mental health education, support, and healing accessible to individuals and families who have traditionally been overlooked, underserved, or unable to afford care.
Every day, I see the same pattern in our community:
People are hurting, overwhelmed, isolated, and navigating trauma with little to no support. Yet the financial barriers to services continue to rise, disproportionately affecting those who need help the most.
To address these gaps, we launched a community-centered GoFundMe initiative designed to expand outreach, reduce cost barriers, and distribute culturally relevant mental-health education resources to the people who need them most.
Why This Campaign Matters
Mental health needs have skyrocketed across the country—especially in Black, Brown, low-income, and high-stress households. But access has not kept pace.
This campaign directly supports the work we are already doing in:
- Schools and youth programs
- Faith-based spaces
- Women's groups and community organizations
- Underserved neighborhoods
- Virtual spaces where stigma is still high
For many individuals, these resources are their first—and sometimes only—introduction to mental-health education, emotional literacy, and trauma-informed support.
